About History
KharasrotaMahavidyalaya, Singhpur, Jajpur, Odisha a leading institution of this rural region stands for a noble mission of catering higher education to the unprivileged and poverty stricken mass of the locality. It has been rendering service since long to the ruralities to illuminate in the light of knowledge and living skill. Institution believes in creating right awareness and knowledge with high professional skills to face the challenges of the ever changing competitive earth in the age of globalization. We have continuous effort to impact better education through skillful teaching-learning process.
Through objectives are not fully achieved, but our faculties are toiling hard to develop the inherent talents of the students. We have developed a good co-operation among academic section, administrative section for better improvement of students skill. To achieve educational objectives student-teacher relationship has been very cordial. Teacher are affectionate, students are obliged. There is a very tamiliar relationship between faculties. Better execution of plans and programme is a broad objective of our institution to attain the maxima.
Being an affiliated college institution follows the guidelines, curriculum designed by the affiliating University i.e. Utkal University, VaniVihar, Bhubaneswar. It follows the academic calendar plans for curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities. Plans are regularly reviewed for better execution.
It maintains academic flexibility as per the norms, options, requirements of the Utkal University where students are guided by the available options, teachers follow the mode of teaching as per curriculum. Better delivery is the objective, seminars, competitions, other co-curricular activities are organized for better knowledge dissemination, moral, ethical values and other valuable suggestions are imparted to students.
Admission process is clean and transparent. It is done by the Students’ Academic Management System (SAMS) which follows all the criteria fixed by the authority.
IQAC has been established to maintain the quality aspect of the academic system along with good and smooth administration and evaluation. For quality development it is careful.
Library and Reading room are considered to be the knowledge resource centre. We have well equipped library and reading room facilities.
Physical infrastructure has been adequate and still expansionary to meet the needs of the students. College is careful to provide adequate infrastructure for the improvement of the students.

- Grant-in-Aid policy of the Government makes non-uniformity in pay scale.
- Lack of Industrial-relationship as college is rural-based.
- Lack of Employment opportunity for students.
- Scarcity of Funds, it mostly depends on students development fee contribution.
