KharasrotaMahavidyalaya, the brain child of the Rural intellectuals of this locality sprang up amidst rustic atmosphere of flora and fauna in the river valley of the ever flowing ‘River Kharasrota’ I to impart higher education to rural poor’s of this locality who were deprived of such facility because of scarcity of funds. The then barren lard now plays with student not only of this locality but also of distant places. The conceived idea of the College NirmanSamiti got its reality in 1976 and after then college has come a long way with a lot of ups & downs. The eminent personalities and educationists of this locality have a toiled hard to bear the adversity of the time and to establish this educational institution, River Kharasrota occupies a special place in the hearts and minds of the people. That has inspired the intellectuals to name it as KharasrotaMahavidyalaya that got its birth as an intermediate arts, college on 16th August’1976; The Strenuous effort of the College NirmanSamiti and generous donation from the local people in the form of land, money and service made the dream come true. Started its journey for imparting education to rural deprived mass from M.E. School, Singhpur, it has now become a milestone institution of this locality with its own land and massive structure.
